Emma Watson as Hermione Granger
Hermione Granger
initially appears in the first novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,
as a new student on her way to Hogwarts. After being saved in the girls’
bathroom from a mountain troll by Harry and Ron, she becomes close friends with
them and often uses her quick wit and encyclopaedic knowledge to help them.
Rowling has stated that Hermione resembles her at a younger age, with her
insecurity and fear of failure. The Harry Potter film series is based on the seven Harry Potter novels by British author J. K. Rowling and, when complete, will consist of seven fantasy-adventure films, with the final instalment split into two parts. The film franchise stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson as the leading three characters, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Movies: Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (2001), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007), Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 (2010) and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 (2011) |
