Dolph Lundgren as Captain Ivan Drago - Rocky IV

Dolph Lundgren as Captain Ivan Drago

Rocky IV is a 1985 American film written by, directed by, and starring Sylvester Stallone. It is the fourth and most financially successful entry in the Rocky franchise. In the film, Rocky Balboa plans to retire from boxing after regaining his title from Clubber Lang in Rocky III. An unknown amateur boxer from the Soviet Union, Ivan Drago (played by Dolph Lundgren), makes a bid to enter the U.S. boxing ranks.

Ivan Drago Action Figure

The Movie Masterpiece 12" Ivan Drago features 22 points of articulation, real fabric outfit with flag-theme shorts and jacket, towel, a pair of gloved hands, a pair of interchangeable hands, and a display base with Rocky logo. Topped by a chiseled-looking flattop and fitted with a mildly vacuous expression, the red-clad Drago wears shorts sporting the grim hammer and sickle. Drago was an amateur Russian intended to demonstrate Russian superiority in the boxing arena. Drago TMs trainers proposed an exhibition bout against Rocky, but Apollo decided to break his retirement in order to fight the bout. Drago TMs boxing abilities were inferior to those of Apollo, though the latter was no match for Drago TMs scientifically-calibrated and chemically-induced strength. Drago weathered Apollo TMs punches easily and retaliated with such overwhelming force that Apollo was killed in the second round. The fact of Apollo TMs death and Drago TMs apathetic contempt for the former champion spurred Rocky into a follow-up fight with Drago, which would take place in Moscow.
