In a time of dark magic and high honor, of awesome power and terrifying evil, the fate of kings and kingdoms hangs in the balance. This is a time in need of a hero—one mighty enough to do battle with the forces of darkness...and win. Dar is that hero. Dar is The Beastmaster. The prince of a family slaughtered by lords of evil, Dar (Marc Singer) must embark on a perilous journey to seek his revenge on the villainous priest Maax (Rip Torn). With the help of his animal companions, Dar's adventure becomes the ultimate quest for freedom and vengeance.
Beastmaster 2: Through the Portal of Time (1991)
Dar, the Beastmaster (Marc Singer), is back and now he has to deal with his half-brother, Arklon (Wings Hauser), and a sorceress named Lyranna (Sarah Douglas) who have escaped to present day Los Angeles. Despite the name, the movie is not about traveling through a time portal, but traveling through a portal to a parallel universe that 1991 Earth exists in. Dar and his animal companions, Ruh, Kodo, Podo and Sharak, must follow them through the portal and stop them from obtaining a neutron bomb. During his visit, Dar meets a rich girl named Jackie Trent (Kari Wuhrer) and they become friends.
Beastmaster III: The Eye of Braxus (1996)
In the third installment in the series, Dar, the Beastmaster (Marc Singer) teams up with Seth (Tony Todd) to rescue his brother King Tal (Casper Van Dien). They learn that the boy was captured by the evil Lord Agon (David Warner), who has been sacrificing young prisoners in order to magically retain his youth, and seeks to gain immortality by releasing the dark god Braxus from his prison (a magical, prison-like realm). Along the way, the heroes are assisted by a beautiful witch named Debra Sue Miller (Lesley-Anne Down), her acrobatic sidekick Bey (Keith Coulouris), and a warrior woman named Deluxe (Sandra Hess).
