Jackie Kirk, a 22 year-old ex-television child actress arrives in the mid-west all the way from California. She is ready to explore new options and exercise a sense of independence that had thus far been lacking in her life. Her greatest wish is to blend in with her peers which proves to be difficult at times as she fields the endless parade of stares and questions about “Neptune 26,” the popular sci-fi show she was once a part of. Jackie has not been away from her family since the show ended four years prior. Although she is not exactly close to her parents, being alone for the first time is nonetheless an overwhelming experience.
