The "Flash" is a name shared by several fictional comic book superheroes from the DC Comics universe. Created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Harry Lampert, the original Flash first appeared in Flash Comics (1940). Once nicknamed the "Scarlet Speedster," the Flash possesses "super-speed," which includes the ability to run and move extremely fast, use superhuman reflexes, and seemingly violate certain laws of physics. Thus far, 4 different characters have assumed the identity of the Flash, and each has been a key member of either the Justice Society of America or the Justice League, DC's all-star teams. |
